I must admit being a student of one of the authors, though I'm by no means uncritical. This book is chock full of handy figures & tables and assessments geared toward feminist/multicultural therapists. The chapters cover several different areas, although most are geared toward therapy, and are relatively concise (too concise?) even with a bit of history and examples. My favorite chapters are on social identity development and the transformation of other theories to become compatible with feminist therapy. If you're new to feminist therapy, be warned that you will find this slow reading due to the amount of information. If you're an experienced feminist therapist, it'll be a fantastic reference. I'd like to see an updated version, but I doubt that's going to happen, so I hope to keep finding copies when the one I loan out doesn't get returned.By Kim Waldheim
